Temporary Quality Inspector – Food Industry 

Location: Dixon, IL
Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Overtime: Available as needed, but never mandatory

 

Assignment: Immediate Start – Through the End of November

We're looking for a  Temporary Quality Inspector to join our team immediately! This is a great opportunity for someone with quality experience in the food manufacturing industry who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.

Our company manufactures a wide variety of products, including liquid mixes, hard candy, powdered drink mixes, food ingredients, and other confectionery products.

What You'll Do

• Collect product samples according to established sampling procedures and quality standards.
• Perform quality inspections and laboratory testing following approved analytical methods.
• Accurately document and report test results.
• Prepare and submit samples for external laboratory testing when required.
• Record and maintain external laboratory analysis results.
• Prepare and verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
• Help maintain quality laboratory operations, including inventory of laboratory supplies and reporting material shortages.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and company procedures.

What You'll Bring

• 1–3 years of quality inspection or quality control experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of food safety and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
• Ability to work in both an office and warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Team-oriented with a dependable, organized, and disciplined work ethic.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production teams.
• Forklift experience is a plus, but not required.
