Straight Up Dance Academy is looking for positive, passionate, and dependable dance teachers to join our team for the upcoming 2026–2027 season! At SUDA, we believe dance is about so much more than technique. We strive to create an uplifting environment where students build confidence, discipline, friendships, creativity, and a lifelong love for dance. We are passionate about developing not only strong dancers, but kind and respectful young people. We Are Searching For Teachers Who: Love working with children of all ages Create a positive and encouraging classroom environment Are dependable, organized, and professional Have strong communication skills Are team-oriented and willing to collaborate with staff Are passionate about dance education and student growth Can balance structure, discipline, and fun in the classroom Preferred Qualifications Previous dance teaching and/or choreography experience Training in one or more styles including: Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Acro, Preschool Creative Movement Experience working with recreational and/or competitive dancers Strong classroom management skills Ability to inspire confidence and motivate students Responsibilities Teach weekly dance classes Create engaging lesson plans and choreography Help students develop technique, performance quality, and confidence Communicate professionally with staff and families Attend recitals, rehearsals, competitions, and studio events as needed Support and contribute to SUDA’s positive studio culture About SUDA Straight Up Dance Academy is a family-oriented studio that values teamwork, kindness, growth, accountability, and community.
