Snow Removal

Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator in Buffalo, NY Area

R.M. Landscape is a growing company with a large portfolio of commercial properties in which we provide superior Snow & Ice management services throughout Western NY. Our Snow Removal Operators must be experienced using Heavy Equipment to utilize safe snow removal techniques to keep our clients' sites clear of snow and reduce the hazards of ice. Our ideal Operator must be dependable, motivated, efficient, and must love working outdoors in all types of cold weather.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for safely clearing snow & ice from clients' site using Large/Mini Loaders, Skid Steers. Potential Shoveling duties (As assigned)
• Safely and appropriately apply salt and/or other de-icing materials (As directed)
• Must clean and load trucks (As directed)
• Must be willing to load and unload materials (As directed)
• Maintain a safe job site ensuring that snow removal efforts do not cause damage to landscape or other property (As trained)
• Maintain and care for heavy equipment, tools, and vehicles (As trained)
• Operate, prepare, and inspect various machinery to ensure equipment is in top condition and appropriate for site (As trained)
• Perform other site-specific duties (As directed)

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age (Required)
• Experience: 5+ years of experience operating Large/Mini Loaders and/or Skid Steers (Required)
• Valid NYS Driver's License (Required)
• Reliable independent transportation/ability to commute (Required)
• Experience using shovels, snow blowers, and de-icing materials for snow & ice removal (Preferred)
• Experience using sidewalk plows or ATVs (Preferred)
• Ability to follow all safety guidelines and use safety equipment properly (Required)
• Proper PPE (not provided by RM): Winter boots with good traction, additional gear such as gloves, hats, facemasks, goggles, etc. Wear and/or bring multiple layers, especially socks. Bring your own food and hot/cold beverages.

Schedule, Working Conditions, and Location:

• Open/Flexible availability: Hours will vary - days, evenings, and overnights possible (Required)
• Seasonal: Ability to work on-call and weather dependent role from December-April (Required)
• Working Conditions: Ability to perform physical work (strength and endurance to lift and shovel snow as needed), work outdoors in extreme cold and wet weather conditions, and walk long distances (Required)
• Direct-to-Site: Site assignment given based on home location
